The City of Las Vegas Cultural and Community Affairs put on an activity day
at Jaycee Park in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 30, 2005

Children could throw the ball all day for free.

Homer made his usual appearance. 

He was a hit (a Home Run actually).

The Homer pitching booth could easily be seen next to the 30 foot high Homer inflatable.

Everyone received a free "Homer" baseball card.  Hundreds were handed out.

Many children and many adults got to see Homer and read his card.  The Young Readers Council is making Homer available throughout the Las Vegas area all year to help raise awareness and money for the Homer in-school programs this fall.
